DDAI  licenses the use of its trademarks and provides information and services to affiliate Davis Dyslexia Associations in different parts of the world, and to licensed providers of Davis Dyslexia Correction services. For purposes of this statement, these organizations and individuals are referred to as our affiliates or licensees.

Information Collection and Use:

DDAI will not sell, share, or rent information collected on this site to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.

Our web server does not automatically recognize, log, or report information regarding the name,  e-mail address, or other personal identification information of the users. The only personal information that we obtain is what users submit through forms or email, or via user registration.

We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, by posting comments on our sites, blogs and forums, and by filling out forms on our site.

We also collect information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information, site registrations, and information provided in connection with purchases or requests for information.

We also collect aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, including data on search words used to access the site, and actions such as sharing or copying information from specific pages.

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our web site, used to communicate with users in reference to inquiries and transactions which they initiated, and is not shared with other organizations other than our affiliates or licensees for commercial purposes.

User requests for Information:

We collect information provided by users on forms requesting information or via email. We do not require provision of information beyond what is necessary to provide the information or service requested or provide a means for us to verify information. This information is used by our organization to provide the requested information and services, and may additionally be used by DDAI or its affiliates or licensees to provide further information via postal mail or email directly relevant to the information and services initially requested. This information is not sold or disclosed to third parties other than our affiliates and licensees in any way.

On-line Ordering:

We request information from the user on our secure order forms in our web sites to purchase goods and services from us, or to enroll in scheduled events.  Here a user must provide contact information (such as name and shipping address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer’s orders. If we have questions or difficulty processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user. Credit card information is transmitted securely in encrypted format to our merchant processor but is not used or retained on our servers.

Contact information (such as postal address, email address, or phone number) may also be used to provide information about news, events, educational services, or other items of interest related to our organization’s services and activities. This information is not sold or disclosed to third parties other than our affiliates and licensees in any way.

Forum Registration:

We maintain public forums and multiple blog-based web sites.  Optional registration services require the submission of the user’s name and a valid email address. This optional information allows the user to enable various options and service,  including functions such as activating email notification of posts or the ability to create and edit a user profile. Personal information posted by the user to the bulletin board or entered in the user profile is accessible to the general public. Users who have posted such information and who wish it to be removed may do so by contacting our webmaster at [email protected].

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns.
