Davis Learning Strategies (DLS) are a versatile, creative, and multisensory pathway to reading fluency and learner self-awareness, especially tailored for young learners up to the age of 9.
Research indicates that DLS are effective at:
- preventing the onset of special educational needs
- increasing the likelihood that a child will emerge as a gifted and talented learner.
DLS create firm foundations in pre-reading skills, integrating with a school’s existing reading teaching strategies. DLS is a good complementary solution for children who have so far struggled with basic sight word recognition, phonic-based reading instruction, reading comprehension and spelling.
Simply put — it is the missing piece that makes everything else start working.
This Workshop is for YOU, If….
You are a teacher struggling to meet the diverse learning needs of your students, provide individualised instruction, and maintain engagement among all learners, particularly for those who appear disinterested or struggle to focus.
You are a parent who feels there’s something not quite right about how your child is responding to reading teaching at school — and you want to safeguard your child’s future as an independent, inquisitive learner.
You are a professional providing educational support and feeling overwhelmed by the sheer number of students requiring assistance with learning difficulties, and the limited outdated resources or methods that fail to support them adequately?
- You are looking for more effective strategies for managing (and even reducing) disruptive behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment in your classroom.
- You need simple, innovative and effective teaching tools that level the playing field, significantly reduce the onset of learning difficulties, and allow ALL children to learn, regardless of their learning style.
